Rādhā-Śyāmasundara contract

Pledge

We the undersigned, as devotees, members and folllowers of ISKCON Hungary request His Holiness Sivarama Swami, to install the marble Radha Krsna Deities, Govardhana sila and Caitanya Mahaprabhu in Somogyvámos, New Vraja Dhama, in the new temple in 1996, the centennial year of the birth of Srila Prabhupada, on Janmastami day.

We are aware that the installation of such Deities is a very serious commitment. It is not just the responsibility of a few pujaris or devotees of New Vraja Dhama. We know, that the maintenance of the Deities and the temple complex serving as Their residence is the national project of ISKCON Hungary and thus it means a lifetime commitment for all centers, Nama Hattas, and all those who sign this pledge. The centers or Nama Hattas and the devotees take a vow that they are ready to take any step that is necessary for the maintenance of the service of Radha Krsna, Their circumstances and Their pujaris.

The maintenance of the standard of the Deities will be assured by a special Deity Board, the members of which will include the leaders of New Vraja Dhama and a few of those who are signing this contract. This Board will hold meetings every three months and will work out the plans for the Deities’ financial, administrative and men power needs and will make the necessary arrangements. In case of any difficulty that cannot be solved by the local devotees or the incomes from the shop, the restaurant and donations, this Board has the right to, in a manner sanctioned by the OB (Hungarian NC Working Committee), request anyone of those signing this contract to contribute to removing the problem either financially, with energy, time etc. We the undersigned promise, that we will unconditionally submit ourselves to the arrangements for service by the Deity Board and we accept its opinion as non different from the desire of Lord Krsna.

In compliance with this we are fully responsible for the service and safety of Radha Krsna. The same will be expected from the future members and devotees of our Society. Their names will be added to this list. We are aware that signing this pledge is equal with a personal contract with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and it is our duty to adhere to it under every circumstance.
