nama oṁ viṣṇu-pādāya kṛṣṇa-preṣṭhāya bhū-tale 
śrīmate bhaktivedānta-svāmin iti nāmine
namas te sārasvate deve gaura-vāṇī-pracāriṇe
nirviśeṣa-śūnyavādi-pāścātya-deśa-tāriṇe

Dear Śrīla Prabhupāda,

We, your disciples and granddisciples at Rādhā-Londonīśvara-nivāsa, fall at your feet. We feel very inadequate and fallen, yet you have kindly allowed us to engage in a service which is very dear to you. It is no secret that your mission in London was always very important to you, Because Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Gosvāmī Mahārāja Prabhupāda gave great emphasis to preaching in this city. He sent some men here in 1934, but they were unsuccessful, and he called them back. He kindly left it to you to arrange for the deliverance of the suffering souls of the streets of London town. Many years later you came yourself, sending some of your new American disciples ahead of you, and in the space of s few short autumn months in 1969, established Kṛṣṇa consciousness in these islands as a powerful force.

Just before leaving, you gave us our most treasured and most beautiful Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Londonīśvara. Kṛṣṇa chose to manifest Himself in all His gorgeous beauty, along with His eternal consort Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī. He simply came to please the desire of His most pure devotee and to bestow His causeless mercy on the previously unfortunate residents of this onetime capital of the demons, now become a place of pilgrimage.

You have now kindly left us the task of realizing your desire to spread the ocean of Lord Caitanya’s mercy in this dark place. The darkness is being dispelled by the lotus feet of their Lordships Śrī  Śrī Rādhā-Londonīśvara and by the transcendental presence of your beloved disciple Śrīla Jayatīrtha dāsa Gosvāmī. We have recently celebrated the tenth anniversary of your installation of Their Lordships, and have now moved Them to a wonderful, opulent new temple right beside Oxford Street, where we have always been known for our saṅkīrtana activities. The new restaurant, which you always wanted, is now becoming very successful by your grace.

We are simply praying at your lotus feet that our attempt may be pleasing to you. Please bless us with your causeless mercy so that giving up all contrary desires, we may be satisfied to fully absorb ourselves only in carrying out this wonderful mission which you have given us, and taking shelter of Kṛṣṇa’s holy name, we may find our ultimate rest at the lotus feet of Śr Śrī  Rādhā-Londonīśvara.
