Lord Kṛṣṇa explains how rare a soul it is who takes to the loving devotional service of the Lord and achieves His lotus feet. How rare it is indeed, and how fortunate we are to have received the association, service and mercy of such a pure and steadfast devotee of Kṛṣṇa as Your Divine Grace, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda.

Weak and devoid of intelligence, there was no brightness in our future; only sure death awaited us. But now our path of uncertainty has been altered by the pure words flowing from your lotus mouth. Hindering doubts are being vanquished one after another by your deep sastric intelligence and devotional enthusiasm. No more will we be tricked by pseudo-religionists, philosophers or material scientists.

How your incomparable gift of pure service to Lord Kṛṣṇa in the method of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu came to our doorstep we may never know, but let us fullheartedly try to take up the mercy you are bestowing with the same steadiness and eagerness that you unflinchingly exhibit. Please give us fully and enthusiastically engaged in serving your every desire. Such pure determination and strength can only come from you, the dearmost servant of Kṛṣṇa, the protector of all surrendered souls. Out of your unlimited compassion, you are tolerating all our shortcomings and urging us all to invest more and more energy into Lord Caitanya’s saěkīrtana movement to benedict all suffering humanity. Our only prayer, dearmost Śrīla Prabhupāda, is that you kindly never reject us from the shade of your magnanimous lotus feet, which are the shelter for so many. Without your mercy, we are nothing and surely would again die. Our unending respectful obeisances unto Your Divine Grace. You are the only means to Kṛṣṇa.
